Skipton International’s open day invites islanders to ask the mortgage questions that matter

As the Channel Islands property market shows signs of renewed activity, islanders thinking about buying, moving, remortgaging, or improving their home are invited to meet Skipton International’s local mortgage team at open days.

The events will take place at:

  • Skipton International’s Jersey Mortgage Centre at 15–17 Esplanade, St Helier, on Tuesday 15 September from 8.30am to 5pm

  • Skipton International’s head office at Tudor House. Le Bordage, St Peter Port, Guernsey, on Tuesday 22 September from 8.30am to 5pm

Visitors do not need to have found a property or started a mortgage application to attend. The open day offers an informal opportunity to ask questions, discuss plans, and better understand their potential borrowing position.

Jo Phillips, Senior Mortgage Sales Manager at Skipton International, said:

“People often wait until they have found a property before speaking to a lender, but you do not need to have everything worked out before coming to see us.

“Whether you are hoping to buy your first home, move somewhere larger, remortgage, or make improvements to your current property, our open day is a chance to meet the team and ask the questions that matter to you.”

The team will also be available to answer questions about Skipton International’s range of fixed-rate mortgages. The lender recently introduced its first two-year fixed-rate residential mortgage in both islands, alongside its three and five-year options, giving customers more choice over how long they fix their mortgage rate.

Jo added: “There may not always be a quick or simple answer, but talking through your options can help make the next step clearer.

“Whatever stage you are at, pop in and see us. Our local team will be happy to answer your questions and discuss your property plans.”
